Can you guys believe the guts this guy had SNEAKING into my birds' coop? Of course he got evicted right away!

Hi, i live in southeast texas to. Your rooster is beautiful, i hope mine turns out to be good looking. I want him to be a nice rooster though, I'm worried he might be mean and i cant handle a mean rooster. I'd hate to be running from him all the time, my mother told me her father's rooster was so mean, it would jump on your back and hang on while attacking you. Mine is only probably 5-7 days old, going to do my best to make him like me!

Will birds like that eat the eggs? My city is a bird sanctuary, and there are a ton of birds like that that stay in the trees in my yard

This is what you need to do. Wear rubber boots and raise one leg and keep it to the rooster's eye level. That way it'll attack the boot and won't jump higher than your waist.

Thanks, i will try this if a have to, i hope it doesn't come to that though. He seems sweet now, i feed him out of my hand, and he likes to sit on my fingers. But when puberty hits, he might get an attitude, well at least ill have some new rubber boots if it does come to that

Hello all!

Just started with 3 Cochins in south Houston - only 6 weeks old. Very excited to raise them, and nervous too. Live right by the bayou with lots of coons and predators. Planning a sturdy coop and hoping for the best.

Love all the pictures!
