First time chickeneer in pine bush NY. After 3 years of convincing, the wife agreed it is good for a family to have some sort of livestock. Our 2 year old can learn the ways of the natural world. We've had our 4 leghorns and 4 black sex links about 2 weeks now and all seems well. [IMG]

Hi and welcome to BYC - glad that you have joined us. I think its a great lesson for young children to understand where are food comes from and how it should be produced, so well done on that score!

Joining your state thread will put you in touch with other BYC members in your area, which can be helpful (just type the name of your state in the search box).

    All the best
