Hello!
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I'm new to chickens, just got my first set about a week ago. And I got my very first egg today! It's greenish with brown speckles and beautiful. I'm a very excited and proud chicky-momma.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I have 9.
(3) What breeds do you have?
A variety, I just picked the ones that looked pretty at the farm. I think I ended up with Rhode Island Reds, Barred Rock, and Wyandottes.
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
Goodsearch.com when I was researching what I would need to get started.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I quilt, knit, cook, and do outdoorsy-things like hike and camp.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I have a mutt-dog named Aspen, who is currently exhausted after an afternoon of running around in the mud helping us fix a busted water pipe. For work, I care for 75-80 horses at a summer camp, so I'm always busy!
