Hi there! My name is amber and I am totally new to back yard chickens. My husband and I have been talking about adding chicks to our family for about 3 years and 2 weeks ago we purchased 6 pullets, supposedly all golden comets. One however, Amelia is definitely not the same as our other girls, but the just makes her all the more special to me. I do believe my son (18 months old) and I like our new babies more than my hubby and 6 year old, but I am sure they will grow on them when they make our breakfast.

I am so glad to have found backyard chickens I love this site!
