This is my first foray into raising chickens or any kind of farm animal for that matter. I am loving it! I have 5 girls: a Buff Orpington (Buffy), a Barred Rock (Miss Prissy), a Russian Orloff (Natasha), an Ameraucana (Camilla), and an unknown (Teri- short for Teriyaki). We were told she was a Copper Maran, however she doesn't look like any of the pictures and does not match the physical descriptions I have read.
I am very fortunate to have a husband that is quite handy, and he was able to piece together a coop for our girls. I think it turned out quite nice!
