Hi there. What a fantastic site. None of the English sites come close. New to chicken keeping. Have 4 hybrid pullets. Only had week and half and had 11 eggs already (very proud!) including a rubber egg and 3 soft shelled. Very watchable. One of our girls is a bit of a bully. Hopefully she will settle down. Paranoid Mr Fox will find his way in coop.
Any other English members? Keen to link with members from places far and wide

Please make yourself at home and we are here to help. Good luck with your flock! I have a bully chicken too.

I know how you feel! Also, congrats on your 11 eggs!!

Thanks Sarah for the response. Looking forward to learning more about our girls and of course the eggs. My colleagues are expecting me to get baking with new egg supply. Any excuse to eat more cake. Greedy lot. How long have you been keeping chickens?

Welcome to BYC!

Congrats on all the eggs already! Yes, stress can cause some rubber eggs or other funky eggs at first before they get settled in. Your aggressive bird may just be on edge with stress. Make sure you have plenty of room in your coop and run...5 square feet per bird in the coop, 10 square feet per bird in the run. Give them things to do to keep busy...ladders, hanging veggies or cabbages, seed pecking blocks, mirrors, a flake of alfalfa hay, get them out to free range even if that is supervised....just things to keep them occupied other than picking on each other. If all else fails, you can separate out the bully for a few weeks out of sight of the other birds in hope so re arranging the pecking order, or you can even use pinless peepers on the bully. These will keep them from being aggressive.

Yes, we do have UK thread if you would like to chat with your chicken neighbors...
