Yeah well.... that's about the extent of the Irish I know but at least I finally found a use for that much of it. Not enough Gaelic speakers here in the U.S.

Agreed. I lived in Drogheda for about a year and unless I went to the west coast I never heard it outside of the radio. I miss RTE. Tried teaching myself since I couldn't find a beginners class outside of going to primary school with the youngins. Bet they'd have loved that! All the locals I talked to couldn't remember any of the Irish they had been taught as kids. Without a native speaker to get the proper accent from, and having noone to practice with I've lost most of what I managed to teach myself. Probably have shite pronunciation anyway. Ah well, I'm not dead yet. Someday I shall learn.
