I'm looking to start up a little Urban farming...I was raised on a farm and being in the city is killing me! I've been reading about this with chickens and even goats for a while now and since we live on the outskirts of town I was thinking that I could totally raise a few chickens! Since I just took the career path of a Real estate agent I have a very small budget and am trying to be as creative as possible...lol! I was wondering if there were people on this forum that live near me and can give me some starter tips? I have a dog house I can convert to a chicken coop pretty easily...are there any good "Starter chicks"? Also, is there a feed store that I can buy chicks/feed from? The one near us is closed.
