Hey hey! My name is Rachel, and I'm from Jacksonville, FL. My neighbour, her dad, and I are getting chickens for our first time and I'm so excited! The coop will be going in my backyard, which is being built by her dad. I've wanted chickens for a while just because they are awesome animals and we want to have our own eggs so we know where they come from. My neighbour and I are both vegetarian so we will not be raising them as meat. Anyways, I'm super excited and can't wait to get our chicks! Is anyone else from the Jacksonville area?

Jacksonville Fl.?! Years..and years..and years ago...lol... I lived in Fernandina Beach Fl. It was so beautiful back in the 60's! Not so many people. I see that it has grown quite a bit out there.

I still miss the beach!
