Hello from Keizer, Oregon!

OhOh yes, chicken math lol. Is that what it's called? I was wondering if my condition had a name! My husband built me a lovely coop and even goes to the feed store with me, he pets the chickens occasionally and Scarlett is quite taken with him lol. But when I find myself going on and on about them I do catch that "glazed eye"look on his face :)

Could you tell me how I can make my profile show a picture? I can't seem to figure it out, I keep going to edit profile but I don't see an option for setting an image?

Well have you found the time to look yet ????

If you need more help just ask

Hello again all! I have a question, maybe I am supposed to post it somewhere else but I'm new to this. My lovely girl Crimson (who is very independent) has taken to laying her eggs in a nest she has made in the ivy at the base of a tree in my backyard. What can I do to get her to lay in the hen house like all the other girls?

You let them free range so this will be hard as she has already found a place that is comfortable for her and about the only thing you can do is lock he up in the coop but this just might make her stop for awhile and she will most likely go right back I have several hens that I have to go and check on as they really only want to have a little private time when laying .......

I think I might just let her keep her nest then, it's pretty easy to get to and she had been laying an egg daily there. I wouldn't want to throw her off lol!
