Well i have visited your site multiple times in the past when i first starting raising chickens, however, i never did sign up.
My wife and i bought a small farm six years ago and we have had quite a few chickens in the past, sometimes it worked out and sometimes it didn't. We have lost all of our older flock within the last year due to free ranging and wild critters. We just decided to get some more chickens about a month ago but have been running into issues, hence the reason i came here to ask for some advice. It has been a roller coster with many trials and errors but for the most part we have struggled through it, i must admit though we garnished a lot of knowledge from sites like this. I think a big thank you is in order for the past knowledge and for accepting me into your group.

Welcome to BYC, it is now your site too!

What kind of problems are you having right now with your birds?

Welcome to BYC - always room for one more here on the roost, glad you've joined us! Sorry to hear about your previous flock's demise, hopefully you can find the solutions you're seeking in starting over.

:welcome

I hope you find the answers you need here.

Thanks for joining us!

You may want to visit the predator threads and find out how to safeguard your flock. Sounds like free ranging isn't going well. You may want to opt for a secure, roomy, covered run.
