Glad to be onboard. We just started raising chickens. We built our first coop and run. We bought three 1 month old Plymoth Rocks and two already laying hens. One is a Rhode Island Red and the other is still a guess. She looks similar to a RIR, but a little lighter. The RIR layed her first egg today.
We have been buying organic eggs for 5/dozen and figured we could do it ourselves.
