Hello,
I am so addicted, I absolutely love my chickens I have 4 Rhode Island Reds and 3 Black Austrolops in one coop and then in another coop I have 3 Silkies (White, black, partridge) and 3 Muscovie's......The RIR were not very friendly to my Silkies, that is why I put them with the Muscovies. I have to keep their coop very clean though, so far so good.
Thank you all for all the postings, it has been very helpful as this is all new to me

Hello from Georgia! I'm a pilgram (per john Wayne) at chicken ranching. I haven't gotten my feet wet yet. Any idea what I'd need ($) for a stake to start my own ranch (I'm figuring about 20-25 eggs/week). I can build my own coop.
