Hello everyone! Just got our first flock of four BPR ladies in March - Midge, Pepper, Gracie, and Rose. A few weeks ago, Gracie (but we thought it was Rose) disappeared while free ranging, and though we searched far and wide, we thought her doomed and replaced her with Penny (a buff Wyandotte) and New Rose (a silver laced Wyandotte), because you can't quarentine just ONE chicken

Five days after Gracie-but-we-thought-it-was-Rose disappeared, our neighbor found her roosting in a Holly tree, living off caterpillars. So we now have six lovely ladies: Midge, Pepper, Gracie, Rose, Penny, and Norah "New Rose."

What a relief maybe she was happy too. How many caterpillars can any chicken eat - yuck.

Glad you could join the flock! What an adventure you have had there with dissapearing chickens. Great to hear she has turned up safe and well again. She has been on quite an adventure. Wishing you the very best of luck with them all in the future.

Be sure to ask any questions that you may have, everyine here to help and very friendly.

Enjoy BYC and all the chicken chat :frow

Hello :frow and Welcome To BYC! Glad you found Gracie again, even if she made you get two new chickens, sounds like she knows chicken math too!
