Hello from MA!

Thank you all for the welcoming words!

I added my location, that was a good idea, thanks.

I read about insulation some more and have decided to not insulate the coop. Only maybe the floor and the roof. I was worried that in case of a cold snap, I have nowhere to bring the chickens in temporarily - absolutely no room in either the garage or the basement. So the coop is gonna be it. But, after reading about the kinds of temperatures folks are getting out there, suddenly what I thought of as cold doesn't seem all that cold at all haha! I looked up the statistics on lowest recorded temperatures in the Boston area for the past few years, and they don't seem to ever drop below negative single digits, and even that is rare and extreme. With the exception of the occasional polar vortex, lately it hasn't even been staying cold enough to keep snow from melting. I'm so glad that our workload (and the cost) has been reduced, now that we won't be doing insulation!
