Just started on this site. Have had chickens for several years. Still looking at ways to improve the coop and maybe get a run. (right now they free range in the side yard and when they get out in the whole yard!- not good for my sons basketball court lol! Looking forward to getting tips and enjoying other chicken enthusiasts.

Sorry I am just figuring out this site! I have 5 month olds that are not laying yet- a partridge rock, a bantam easter egger, an orpington and a silver laced wyndotte. I do not have electrical in the coop so no heat or lights. I am thinking of upgrading my coop because it has too much open air area for breathability so water gets in. There are a couple of other things I would like to improve as well. They free range all day but I think a covered run would be safer. Thoughts?
