Hello! My name is Andrea and I am a new member from Maine. We have started a small farm and currently have chickens, 3 sheep, 2 goats, 3 dogs (two newfoundlands and a Saint Bernard), 2 indoor roaming bunnies, and a cat.

We got our first chicks last spring, we started with 13 - 7 Isa browns and 6 leghorns, and then we picked up a rooster and then 9 more chickens and two Pekin ducks from a friend (the ducks we are rehoming today). We now have a flock of 20 ladies and some eggs in the incubator. 5 have hatched and there are 6 more eggs in the incubator that haven’t hatched yet.

While my husband grew up on farms and I went to college for a few years majoring in animal science and technology, we are a bit rusty and relearning. So far we have been having so much fun and teaching our two kids how to farm along the way.

I’m looking forward to getting to know you and hoping we can share experiences and knowledge.
