Geesh, chickens are difficult to photograph! I would say that her ear flaps are yellow; legs definitely yellow and they don't seem short/ compact to me; eggs are off-white/ light beige-ish; single comb - #8 has a much smaller comb, almost no comb at all.
#8 is smaller. She was roosted and snoozing when I came along with the camera!
Hi 7&8
Wow! that is a very nice looking pullet/hen you have there! I would say she is defenetly a Single Comb White Leghorn Bantam, although she dose look a little heavy from the picture for a Leghorn but im quite sure that is what she is. If anything else my second guess would be a White Plymoth Rock but im quite sure shes a Leghorn.
Then again, she dosent have the floped over single comb that female Leghorns are supost to have, perhaps she just dosen't have that one tradmark, either that or shes still young and her comb hasn't fully developed. If she lays a white egg, shes a Leghorn, if the egg is brown, light brown, tinted, she would be a Plymough Rock.
On female chickens with yellow legs, as theye lay eggs and get older, their leg color can fade. I heard some one say it's because theye draw the color from their legs into the yoke, but that seams off to me, so I don't know if thats actually fact or not.
anyway, if you get into showing, or already show, I think you should defently put your little pullet/hen in some time, she really is a nice looking Leghorn.
