) and then one morning I woke up very early to the sound of hawks screeching over head. I went outside and watched them for a while. They kept circling around in the sky and my flock was hiding in the coop. Here I was worried about foxes and coyotes and bears and such HA! The run isn't completely fenced in yet so we need to get that done but I wanted to be able to let them free range soon. Now I'm nervous about it. Don't want to lose another feathered baby but I hate the thought of keeping them confined in a run too, UGH! This is where my sheltie might come in handy tho. She hates being inside, especially if she knows the flock is out of the coop and when I let her out she stays right next to the run all day unless I force her to come inside. When she's outside I don't hear the hawks at all but that's most likely due to her constant barking. It seems like she's constantly reprimanding the ducks for no apparent reason. Now last year we had free range ducks and she hardly paid any attention to them so what is up with her this year? I just don't know lol
