Hi Folks, My name is Angela. I'm a mom to six human children, six ducks, nineteen chickens, two turkeys, five bunnies, a mama cat and four kittens, a mourning dove, a Shetland sheepdog and a blue heeler
I'm pleased to be a member of BYC! Tonight most of my chicks (except for bantams and the two turkeys) and my ducklings are spending their first night in the hen house. I will miss watching the ducklings at night (yes I'm a bit partial to them lol) but I won't miss the mess they made in their brooder.
I took my turkeys out to play in the coop today and after I got them outside I realized one of them wasn't going off to explore. Then I noticed that its right leg seem to be turned a bit sideways and it looks distorted or swollen. He was trying to walk but having a difficult time so I brought him back inside and returned him to the brooder. I have no idea what has happened to my poor lil guy and I'm wondering if anyone might have any suggestions? He still manages to eat and drink. I'm hoping there's something I can do to help him.?
