Morning all,
My partner and I are new to hatching, but not chickens. We decided we would start spring early and have gone for a winter hatch? Currently we are establishing a permaculture garden in NSW, Australia and are looking at adding chickens to our environment. We use them in some of our gardening practices, they are fantastic for buggos, composting, crop cycling and weed control. They are also just generally quite nice to have.
We are using locally sourced fertile eggs incl. sussex, australorp, wyandonette and some funky hybrids. Our incubator is a loaner Brinsea Ova Easy 380.
Looking forward to learning along the way, from the fine folk here and connecting with the wider grower community.
