I had a wife like that, but ended up in divorce.I put a detailed account of what happened in the behaviour section. Well i would say that he's trying to mate but she's not allowing him but she is suddenly very scared of him and is crouching down and hiding her head in a corner. She is also coming to me and my dad for solace even though she was never a tame hen. We let them free range whenever we're in the field where their coop is. I have now built a makeshift coop and kept him in it. It's a temporary measure as it cannot be very comfortable. it's about 2 feet deep by 2 feet wide by 1 and a half foot high so i cannot keep the poor bugger in it for too long. Not to mention the fact that catching him isn't easy. If he doesn't settle down by the end of the week he's dead.
