Hello,
Thought I'd share how we got htis name for our big 'matron'of the flock! She looks after anything and everything, talks her head off, is harmless to all and lays one egg a month! My little daugter was so used to hearing her big brother talk about astronaughts, that when we got this big old Australorp girl as our first laying hen (and she had to adopt a clutch of chicks) we named her Mama Australorp, and she thought we were calling her Mama Austranaught!
Bye gotta go! School holidays start tomorrow so I am just getting in a few post midnight hours of peace!
