Hello from Martha's Vineyard Island

Hello, We are raising chickens for the first time and are happy to have found a place to learn more. Thanks for being here! We have 19 adult chickens ( various breeds) but ended up with about 5 roosters.. pluse we have 4 guineas and a Silkie chick growing who looks like another Roo. We have been free ranging as we live on the edge of a heavily wooded area so the birds have been pretty safe ( we got them in Spring) but now with leaves going to come down we know the game will change. We are on a flyway and get lots of predators.. Looking forward to learning lots! Thanks for being here.
