Hi everybody! I'm from Southern MD and I just got my first chickens this year. I saw this site over a year ago and it helped me a lot in deciding what breed to start with and how to design my coop. I never joined because back then I had no chickens, but now that I do I'm excited to here!
I grew up in a suburb outside of Baltimore and always dreamed of having farm animals, so I'm loving having my 7 Barred Rock hens, 1 Barred Rock rooster, 2 Silver Laced Wyandottes, and lastly our little Mille Fluer rooster who we thought was a she and turned out to be a he. And, I'm over the top excited to be getting some Easter eggers within the next two weeks and possibly some Muscovy ducklings. I've learned more about raising and dealing with chickens than I ever thought I would, and I'm looking forward to learning more from everybody on here.
