Hello everyone ... what an interesting forum!

I'm not raising chickens - yet. But I am raising mealworms. In trying to find some answers about raising mealworms, I found a post on your forum that was the best answer I'd found. Hopefully if I can raise enough I can give some to the chickens next door. Meanwhile .... questions, which I will ask in the feeding topic. Good luck with all your chickens everyone - hope you get nice bright eggies.

thank you everyone! I learned more about mealworms from this forum today than I really wanted to hear! But it's good to know about mites ... I guess. I spent the afternoon cleaning them out of my bins, with minimal success. Now I hope those weren't actually mealworm babies ..... okay, so I'm doing an experiment to find out. A glob of squirminess in a dish surrounded by a moat so they can't escape - they will become either little mealworms or something Undesirable. Will report back ...
