Hello there! Mind if I join in?

I am admittedly guilty of hiding in the shadows and reverently watching the previous two threads like a gremlin, but since I finally have an account, I will come out of hiding lol!

I LOVE birds, and art, and privately participated in Birdtober in 2023 (also last year, but only partially), so I am super excited to be able to take part and share this year!

I think all of you guys’ art is really amazing and I am very inspired by everybody’s different styles!!

(Also forgive me if this comes across as random or weird. I’m not great with this socialization stuff :’)

5. Spotted
This got a little rushed cause I was fast losing my attention, even with starting it like two days ago A female Red-Tailed Black Cockatoo, one of my dream birds

My lack of parrot representation this year is tragic and I will be doing everything to fix that

Extravagant Tail: Day 4

I went with something simple today. I did a white Phoenix chicken. I love the Phoenix chickens and hope to someday get some. This particular one is of my cartoon character, Chipzen, who I've had for over ten years now. This is done in my (updated) style I've had since 2017.

(@SunriseChickers, I sorta had you in mind as I was drawing this. I did this completely without a reference (well, I had to refer back to the Birdtober picture to make sure I was spelling "Extravagant" correctly, lol) and this is one of my characters from my comics that I was talking about. I did change his style a lot since I used to draw him all the time, but I still did this without referring back to his 'new' character reference.)

I like him quite a lot! The style is lovely, plenty of detail while still be simple and nice.

Hi, welcome! No worries, not awkward or strange at all, come right in.

This is my first time doing an InkTober theme with a group - I've tried to follow prompts before, but never stuck with it too well. This year I'm sort of just picking and choosing, trying to get my creativity back into gear, so no worries if you can't participate every day. I sort of just hopped on the train myself.

You should pay a visit to the Artist's thread to share some of your other art! Feel free to post away with your favorites over there.

I'm not exceptionally good but I'm trying to improve all the time.
Show me yall's art! Traditional, digital, whatever!
I do a lot of sketchy digital drawings, I've got low patience for super clean lineart and it never looks right lol

Yeah, my goal for this Birdtober is to draw/paint more, so I’m just making drawings as I can and enjoying the process!!
