My son brings his mini-Dachshund over, and it took a while, but she doesn't chase the chickens anymore. She never could really keep up anyway, but I just didn't want her stressing them out.

I'm glad to hear that! Back with my first crew of chickens I had a husky/greyhound mix who immediately learned to ignore the chicken run and the chickens themselves when she met the (pet-safe, but instructive) electric fence I installed at the time. I no longer have the e-fence and would prefer not to go that route again! So we'll see!
