Hello from minnesota with questions!!??

I just bought 6 new chicks and 1 bantam seems to be fine except it doesnt seem to be pooping correctly....alot of it is just hanging there. Is a chickens butt called a vent? because i have been looking for diseases online and i think thats what they call it? plz reply back asap, i am wondering if i should take the chick out or is it too late? they arent picking on him/her right now.

Welcome to BYC!
Wash his bottom(gently) with warm water and put ointment on it so no more poo gets stuck! Yep it's called a vent!!

thank you, im assuming its not a threatening disease or anything..im new at this im 43 with 2 girls 15 and 12......havent had chickens since i was a kid, so i have been online alot lately lol. we got the chicks 2 days ago. 2 bantams (my pick) 1 gold star, 1 barred rock (nikki's pick) 1 buff orphington,1 cal white (lexi's pick). they are adorable and quite the personalities already! now i have to finish the coop in 5 weeks.....it will get me moving my vent!!!
