I have to join the chorus of well-wishers because I live in north central Iowa and spent a few years in Minnesota. I always feel a kinship with folks who are surviving Midwest winters.

Sorry to hear about your rooster, hope he's doing okay. This year's weather has been even crazier than usual. Yesterday, it was nearly 40; today it is in the single digits; and Sunday is supposed to reach 50 degrees!

Your flock is lovely! Among my (too) many chickens, my Speckled Sussex, Bronwyn, certainly has one of the most outstanding personalities. It's easy to favor those girls!
