Hi All,
I'm Ann, from a small town in Minnesota.
Not new to chickens, my mom would get 150 chicked each spring, both meat and layer. So, I grew up with chickens. About 7 yrs ago we got chickens, had for over a year and half, with a tragic loss, we were devastated. After some healing, we decided to try again. So I obsessed over security, my husband calls it Fort Knox. Nothing is getting in there! ( I have lost sleep over sounds through monitor, yep I have a baby monitor
)
We have 4 hens, an Americana, Barred Rock, Golden Lace Wyandote, and a Rode Island Red. Each lovely one with their own personality.
I also have 2 Collies and a cat, my own mini farm in the city. Cat has zero interest in the chickens, in fact not happy I brought even more animals home, he's still upset with me bringing the 1st dog home, 4 yrs ago. One of the dogs loves the chickens, he likes to kiss on the beak, the other just hangs out, watches them.
It's busy around here on my mini farm!
