Hey I am new to the chick community. I was just wondering which pet do you think I should hatch a chicken or a duck?

Which ones are more responsive, smart, and which one will imprint the best.

I want a pet that will really bond to me.

If anyone is selling eggs in Missouri I will buy!

Sorry for the double post but will a heating blanket that heats to exactly 99 degrees work as an incubator

Hello and welcome to BYC , glad to have you here.
I would start out hatching chicken eggs , then after that try your hand at duck eggs.

Hmmm don't really know about the heating pad method , sry i am no help there.

Cochins and silkies are a great breed but it really depends on what ones you like the looks of really.

Thanks. I just called buckeye they seem very hardy. Where could i find a 1-2 egg incubator for cheap?

Second: I would go to craigslist or ebay to get a small incubator for 3 eggs or so.

you could go to www.GQFMFG.COM for new small incubators. They are like $16.98 i beleive.
It's 7" in diameter and 6" high , operates on 110 volts , holds 3 chicken eggs.

Ebay is also a nice place to purchase the bigger incubators pretty reasonable , most the time.
