Hello everyone!
My name is Anne, and I'm from Central MN. My family and I have been raising chickens the past few years(and a few turkeys and ducks), some layers, some meat birds. This summer we are officially starting to get into organic fed meat birds. Starting a business is a scary endeavor! We bought a whizbang plucker, salatin style chicken tractor, and other equipment from a friend whose wife was sick of doing chickens. I have 100 3 week old cornish cross, as well as 100 that are a few days old. We will keep several for ourselves (usually 30-40) and sell the rest. I also am trying to figure out the design of my next chicken tractor. My parents will keep one and I will have one at my farm, and increase from there. So far we are getting ideas, soon to be followed by a website and some marketing hopefully. Next year I hope to expand, but will have to see how marketing goes. I'm glad to find this site!
