Ohh! What if I make the "solar roof" that'll be 8' high, have the "floor" 4 feet up, and fence in the bottom? Making a laying hens house with a "run" under? Or maybe only a small house under? Then they'd have all that shady place, breeze, and protection...put the bunnies elsewhere

Well, the issue with that is that not only can you not walk in that run, it will be very hard to clean out the coop. The run will also be the same size as the coop. A coop needs 4 square feet per bird... a run needs 10.
I suggest making your coops walk in (I learned this the hard way), with a run that has 10-20 square feet per bird. The run fence should be at least 5 feet high with either a buried fence, or an apron extending 12" out from the posts.

I had initially planned the roof to be 24'x29-32'.... I figured if I may want 30 layers total (to compensate for lesser production for older hens), then I'd need 120sf henhouse with 300 sq ft run. The solar roof can be any size, cause it's not built yet. So...I just need 420sf total, and a 24x29 is 700sf? So I guess it's be more like, make the chicken house overly sturdy, add 9 panels on top. Tho I do understand having to crotch a bit to rake out the soiled litter...

That would work. You'll really want to be able to walk into your coop, though. Trust me on that.
