Hello from my chickens and me!

Hi everyone - been reading on the site for a while now but have finally joined! I have a flock of 9 hens (or so they seem) who are 12 weeks old. I have 5 silkies (Cersei, Daenarys, Catelynn, Sansa, Arya), 1 frizzle (Brienne), 1 buff Orpington (Clara), and 2 americaunas (Nannerl and Anna Magdalena). Looking forward to learning from all of you!

Welcome to the Backyard chickens flock. How nice that the flock accepts silkies in their midst. As a breed they tend to get picked on because of their docile demeanor and different look about them. You have some lovely birds.

Hello there and welcome to our flock!

I'm glad you could join the BYC community! You have such a lovely flock with some unique names, too. I've never kept Silkies personally, but have always admired them for their sweet behavior and fluffy appearance. Americanas (better known as Easter Eggers) are excellent birds, too. My Easter Egger has been very sweet and a very good layer.

You'll get some lovely green or blue eggs from them.
