I come from a small farm community and beautiful horse country. Never had chickens of my own but everyone next door, or I should say next pasture over did including beef cattle, goats and horses.

Everyone asked me and my sister to look after their animals when they went on vacation. Of course it was only so long before we had our own little farm and creatures running about the grounds.Over the years we've had llamas, horses, recently added cows last year and now chickens next month. I'm not a newbie when it comes to taking care of chickens but as for details, quirks, or anything in between I'm not afraid to speak up and ask!

I am a 22 year old CNA and a nursing major. I currently live with my parents; my boyfriend is in line to be a police officer so praying that works out for him. We are planning to get married sometime soon. He recently bought a house with 10 acres and barns. So every animal I own will be living there eventually. I'm pretty sure some of you ladies on here understand the key to keeping DH sane and happy with the animal head count lol Will be looking for some tips haha!!

I have a broad sense of humor, I STILL get a kick out of Spongebob.

Oh ya btw here is my chicken order list due week of 5/21 from McMurray:
Andalusians, Anconas, Australorps, SS Hamburgs, Minorcas, Silver Leghorns, White Leghorns, and Silver Lakenvelders.
All supposed to be pullets. I added 2 roos an Ancona and SLaken

Hello and :welcome
Interesting introduction, look forward to hearing more from you! Do you know the sister site., Backyardherds? Sounds like you'd enjoy it there too.

Looks like a good flock you've organised yourself there, best of luck with your chickens (and your marriage!)
