Been reading through the site the last few as I get started on raising some quail. Thanks to all who have provided the great help

Thank you, yes I do work him and he just loves it. ran into a few issues so far just posted a new thread for help

Beautiful German shorthair . Welcome to Backyard chickens. I know hunting breeds can have a strong drive - that doesn't jive with chickens. I always think it is just best to keep dogs and chickens separated - never to meet. We have many newbies who report that their doxies, Chihuahuas, yorkies, etc. massacre their flock - who knew toys were capable.
So I do think any breed can be a threat - it depends on their individual nature - if they can be safe around poultry.
