Hello from NC! I am a relatively new chicken owner and finally decided to join this site after months of obsessively stalking other people's posts because I needed to ask my own question. Looking forward to being a part of the community!
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I got my first coop and chickens in March 2018.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I currently have 6 chickens.
(3) What breeds do you have?
I have one Naked Neck, one Frizzle, one Olive Egger, one super blue egg layer, and one Svart Hona. I also have one french french cuckoo marans, but it is looking more and more like that one may be a Cockerel and need to go back from when we he came.
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
I have been obsessively reading these forums for the past 2.5 months everytime my chickens do something weird or when I need to learn about normal chicken behavior. Got here from googling.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I garden, run, and am also a newbie beekeeper.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I have two indoor cats who luckily haven't been too interested in the chickens. I teach at a local University and the chickens have given me a nice way to relax and spend some time in my backyard.
