I'm newly registered to the forum although I've been a regular forum addict for several months now. Even since that peeping box arrived at the post office. Isn't it amazing how popular a box of fuzzy chicks can make you at the post office? Everyone in the place crowds around for a look into the box
I have 12 girls (3 BR, 3 BO, 3 EE, 2 australorps, a SLW) and one EE boy (Sid, formally Sybil), all 12 weeks old. The all live in a newly constructed coop (12'x8' but only half of it is theirs, the other half is my potting shed
) with a 17'x20' seven foot tall covered run. They have access to free roam on 1.5 acres or woods/lawn/garden when I'm home with them.
I grew up on eastern Long Island, NY - surrounded by potato fields and duck farms, raising chickens and fishing for dinner. I moved to NC 20 years ago and and thrilled to finally have my own flock of chooks.
Two kitties reside with us (us being my hunny, Ian) - Mo (Mojo) and Miss. Prissy (Priscilla).
I'm looking forward to continuing my BYC addiction as new member!
CHEERS!!!!
