No, DobieLover, right now the rabbits are/were for 4H at the school where I teach. And yes, our Cuckoo Maran, Flora, is raising the chicks...for a first-time mom, she’s doing great!

That's ironic. One of my Cuckoo Marans is brooding 8 chicks she hatched last week. They are good mothers.

The chicks are a mix from the feed store, but they’ve quickly become a sweet little family. They climb all over her, and she sits patiently and clucks softly to them. It’s the most adorable thing!!
