Hello from New England -introducing more to flock

Hi Abby, welcome to BYC! Does she have feathered feet? I have some langshan & easter eggers mixes that look like that. I suppose a black cochin & easter egger mix might look the same.
That seems very plausible. I got them from a local farm and they definitely had both those breeds. So i suppose some of their roosters mingled :p

Good afternoon everyone! I'm Abby from NE. I currently have 5 RIR and a mystery bird (if anyone can figure it out, i attached a photo) that just started laying. No matter how much research I've done, this has been a massive learning curve. But its been a lot of fun watching them grow up and finally lay. :)
Although looks simliar to my Black Jersey Giant, I think you have Black Langshen there.

Welcome to BYC! :frow Your bird is an Easter Egger. If the place you got them from had Lanshangs, I agree that she is most likey a Langshan/EE or Araucana cross (which is what people in the US call Ameraucanas). You can call her an EE as she most likey carries a copy of the blue egg laying gene. Beautiful chickens you have there! Best wishes.
