Hello from New Hampshire

Hello and
welcome-byc.gif

Thanks, we live in New Boston. My daughter and I wanted to do this for years but we had to wait for hubby to build a new shed for his tractor, which he is doing this summer. He was going to tear down the old shed but we pressed to turn it into a chicken coop. Thankfully, recent articles in his men's health magazine and Mother Earth News convinced him that we needed our own eggs. Can't wait until tomorrow and I might even take Monday off so I can stay home with the little chicks.

Our ten little chicks came home on Saturday and all is well. Upon moving them from the kitty carrier to their new home, we noticed one was pasted. (I'd wished I had noticed that when my daughter was picking them out.) We addressed it immediately and the little chick hasn't had a recurrence. The brooder is working out great and they seem to be thriving. I'm wondering when I will sleep through the night again, since I have been getting up every couple of hours each night to check on them and make sure they are safe and comfy, lol. My daughter has named this one Nugget.
