Just joined and just got my first chickens this past weekend. Decided to do it for the eggs for the kids to have the experience. My 3 year old son loves them!!!

Congrats on the new chickens! What kind did you get?

I started with my first ones ( 6 Red Stars) last October they began laying in March and we have been enjoying fresh eggs ever since. I just recently got 2 Buff Orpingtons and 2 California Whites (the chicken thing can be addicting)
