Hello everyone! My name is Cat and I live in NH. I've been raising chickens (for bug control, eggs, composting, etc) for about 4 years now. I don't have any particular preferences, BUT I know I'd rather have full-size breeds than bantams (no disrespect meant by any means!) Barred Rocks tend to be one of my favs.
I've been through the gamut of coyotes, fox, dogs, etc and finally invested in electric poultry netting this year. It's been wonderful & I can easily move my "girls" around as needed.
I've visited this site many times before for advice and have definitely learned a lot & benefited a lot - so many thanks to you all!
I look forward to the future!

PS: I currently have 6 chickens - 2 NH Reds, 1-barred rock, 1-americana, 2-polish crested and just picked up 3 pearl guineas last night!
