Hello from NJ

Do you have to worry about what your neighbors use on their flowers, vegetable garden and/or lawns harming the bees?
If they go around to pollinate the neighbors treated vegetation will this carry through the honey?
I've pondered this question for a while and that is what really keeps me from getting bees. I'm not sure what my neighbors use on their yards but I have seen several companies spraying chemicals on their trees and lawns. Plus, their grass looks like a lush green carpet.

It's not like I can just fence in the bees, lol. Am I worrying for nothing?

The short answer is, you always worry about the garbage everyone else sprays, but unless you have a five mile organic field, you're can't worry too much.

Generally speaking, you're never completely free of chemicals around, but the honey I get from my bees sure tastes better than anything I can buy at the store.
