Hi! I am pretty new to chickens but I have had my girls since April 2015 and they are just starting to lay!!! I have 9 Rhode Island Reds and they are so much fun...I have 2 boys and they really enjoy getting the eggs and passing out treats! I am looking to expand my flock so I am on the look out for some fun new ladies to add to the bunch.

Hello! I also got my chickens in April, this is my first time raising chickens this website has been a great help. my chickens started laying about 2 weeks ago and it was like we had one egg and now we are getting 6-9 eggs a day which seems like so many!

Hi! Welcome to the site. We started in March this year and have a couple more weeks I think until the girls start laying more regularly we get 3-5 a day and have 9 total hens. Its SO exciting to have eggs!!! after all the waiting and watching from fuzzy to dinosaurish to feathers to filling out, now finally some eggs. Your neighbors and friends will love your eggs if you can't consume them all. Welcome aboard!
