Hi everyone, I have been a chicken fanatic all my life. I am a retired poultry grower of 30 years. After retiring, I am able to have yard birds again. With all the disease going around I had to put my farm on the bio-safe program and could not have any other fowl or visitors. I went from a Breeder farm to a boiler farm, raising 70,000 chickens at a time. 1.8 million Pounds a year. I went to boilers over breeders because I like raising the chicks more than the breeders, hard to keep help with the roosters always on the attack. My favorite breeds are 1st the Buff Orpington, then the Barred Rock, the Rhode Island Red, and the Partridge Rock. Looking forward to making many new friends.
