Hi all, I've been considering joining BYC, but after a trip to the feedstore and learning that they get day old chicks in on the 28th., I took the plunge.

I plan on building a portable chicken coop, like the one on Fredsfinefowl.com

I'm also considering some Plymouth Rocks to start me out.

I'm currently raising rabbits, but I'm wanting to add the chickens, so I can become one step closer to becoming self sufficient.

I'm looking forward to being apart of the community, and increasing my knowledge.
