Hello from North Western New Mexico (not part of Mexico 🤣).

Pine burns pretty fast, not a hot wood. Do you have any pinyon? It's a slower hotter wood.
If I even mention cutting down a piñon tree my husband might just have my head! :lol: We love eating piñons, but there are only a few trees on the property that produce them. One of them happens to be near the chicken run.

I tell the hubby this EXACT same thing, every one of our Pinyon trees are OFF LIMITS, NO CUTTING!! :lol: Pinyons are struggling, I will NOT play a part in their demise!! Pinyon Jays needs them too!! :)
