Just got our first Silver Sebright Bantom chicks and we are enjoying their tiny lives on day 3! Cleaning butts has never been as fun šŸ˜ I'm happy to have found this site for such great info! I've been reading books for 2 years and following many backyard keepers. My dream has finally come true to introduce these amazing dinos into our garden. My husband has been growing vegetables for 2 decades and I love all the flowers and herbs. Now we have 3 fruit trees and room for our small coop and a run. It's coming along! What is your heat source? You shouldn't have to constantly clean pasty butt off of chicks. It's generally a sign of stress and the typical source of that stress is overheating.
